At Burba Dental we want to make getting your teeth whitened very user friendly. Therefore we have two whitening options available to you. The first is an in home whitening system. The second is in office whitening. You can choose which system is best for your schedule and lifestyle.
In Home Teeth Whitening
With our in office system we generally begin with an examination and cleaning just to make sure your teeth are ready for whitening. If everything is fine, we make a model of your teeth in order to make custom fitting trays for your teeth. These trays will fit snugly on your teeth to insure the whitening gel gets the entire tooth surface.
We’ll provide you teeth whitening gel to place in the trays and wear for a minimum of 20 minutes a day for two weeks, or until you achieve the results you were looking for. Before you know it you’ll have a dazzling white smile. At Burba Dental we have a “Whitening for Life Program”. As long as you keep your appointments, we’ll give you an extra tube of whitening gel every six months. You’ll want to keep your trays to use with the gel.
How Teeth Whitening works
The gel we provide for you is made of a special peroxide. This peroxide seeps deep into your teeth releasing oxygen that oxidizes all the stains from the inside out. The longer you wear the gel, the whiter your teeth will get.
While the teeth whitening procedure is permanent, you want to be careful what you put on your teeth. Coffee, tea, tobacco, and highly pigmented foods will gradually be absorbed by your teeth throughout your life. However, the good news is that you can continue to touch-up your whitening. With our whitening for life program you can give yourself a free touch up twice a year.
In Office Teeth Whitening
With our Brite Smile system we can give you a bright, white smile in just one appointment. Because you are getting instant results it is slightly more expensive than our in home system. Here is how it works:
We begin by placing the Brite Smile whitening gel on your teeth.
Next we place the blue light up to your teeth for about twenty minutes to activate the gel.
This procedure is repeated two more times in the same appointment. It is that simple. In just two hours you can have the white smile you’ve been dreaming of.
