 When all the teeth are severely decayed or periodontal disease has gone too far, removing the teeth may be the only option left. In that case a complete denture can be made. How are dentures made?
 After a complete exam and x-rays is performed, impressions of your mouth are made. These are used to make models so that a custom fit denture can be made. Dr. Burba will work closely with you to select the appropriate shape, size, and color teeth to be crafted into your denture. Several appointments will be used to make sure that when your denture is finished it looks and feels completely natural. Our goal is to make your denture so lifelike that nobody can tell that they aren't your real teeth.
Partial Dentures:
 When you are missing one or several teeth it is important to replace these teeth. Otherwise the remaining teeth will shift into the open space. If left untreated, more complex dental treatment may be needed to restore your teeth back to health. One way of replacing teeth is by the use of a partial denture. This is a removable appliance that has a metal framework with teeth attached to it. The metal framework helps to distribute the chewing forces to the rest of your teeth which reduces stress, allows better chewing.
Several appointments are necessary to fabricate a properly fitting partial. First impressions are made so that models of your teeth can be made. Dr. Burba studies these models to design a framework that will look and feel natural, while providing you with the best possible partial.
