Dr. John P. Costello is new to the North Shore but is a Massachusetts native. Born and raised in Norwood, MA, he graduated high school from Xaverian Brothers and achieved his B.S. in Psychology-Neuroscience at UMass Amherst with minors in History and Biology.
He obtained his D.M.D. from Boston University’s dental school where he served as a teaching assistant for pre-clinical removable prosthodontics and was a frequent community volunteer.
John’s interest in dentistry started in childhood. As time passed, that interest evolved into a full-blown passion. The unique blend of science and art is what attracted him to the field, along with the satisfaction that comes from helping others achieve their perfect smiles.
Interacting with patients with diverse needs, desires, and personal stories makes every encounter in the dental chair unique and is something John treasures about this job. In addition to his passion for dentistry, John is an avid tennis player and fan, bibliophile and a painter.
